June 19, 2013 - Los Angeles County Museum of Art

While appreciating the works of art is an acquired taste or talent or gift, we do admit that not many people can appreciate the works of an artist, but that does not mean that one cannot enjoy the beauty of a piece of art – even if you do not really “get it”, or “feel it”. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is an art museum where you will find many collections of works of art that covers historically and geographically and representing the unique and vast population of the Los Angeles community. If you have a few hours to spare this weekend and are looking for something different to do, why not make a trip down to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in one of our chartered buses and check out the current display of artworks there? From now till April 6, 2014, one of the ongoing exhibition being featured is by James Turrell.

Since the beginning of 1965, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA for short) has always been dedicated in their collection of works of art that would represent the diversified life of Los Angeles and as of today, they have featured many wonderful collections – and in particular, those of that are from Asia, Latin America, Europe and yes, even our very own local artists. Visitors of our LA chartered bus always find the museum a great place to drop by whenever they are in this part of the country.

There are about more than a hundred thousand of items and artifacts as well as art works from the olden day right up to the present times at LACMA and it is considered to be the largest art museum and one that is of an international stature too. Located at a very strategic area in Southern California, LACMA draws almost a million visitors yearly and don’t be surprised if some of the visitors to this museum also have gone there in one of our LA chartered buses too.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is open every day except on Wednesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The museum is open from 11am till 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, while on Saturdays and Sundays, they are open from 10am till 7pm. However long you plan to be there at the museum, all you need to do is just inform our LA bus charter driver the time to pick you up from the entrance. And while you are there, don’t miss the opportunity to stand on the plaza to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood sign from a distance too!
